cannular/can-annular chamber combustion chamber: An arrangement in which flame tubes are laid out within the casing, resulting in weight reduction and an ease-of-construction advantage. The supply of secondary air to the flame tubes is made through a common air casing while primary air for combustion is supplied through individual air intakes. Also known as a turbo-annular chamber.
